Concert The summer concert schedule has added some more famous voices like Gloria Gaynor, Bryan Ferry, Sister Sledge and Chaka Khan.
The performances will take place between July and August in the center court at the Puente Romano Tennis Club.
From New York and Philadelphia, nonstop, Gloria Gaynor and Sister Sledge directly visit Marbella on the same night, July 7. The singer of unforgettable tracks like ‘I Will Survive’, ‘Never Can Say Goodbye’ or ‘We Are Family’ will be accompanied by the U.S. group. Just days later, on July 20, Bryan Ferry, the former leader of Roxy Music, will tread the same stage to review the legendary group’s greatest hits, but also from his extensive solo career. Surely the British singer will not forget the themes that converted him into the icon of ‘glam rock’ and one of the most emblematic representatives of his country. The composer of classics like ‘Avalon’ or ‘More than this´ give way to one of the queens of pure funky sound, Chaka Khan, who will thrill her fans with hits like ‘Is not Nobody’ and ‘I Feel For You’.
Tickets, with prices ranging between 30 and 250 euros, are on sale at the Tennis Club Hotel Puente Romano and www.ticketmaster.es.
This concert program is in addition to other outstanding events. On June 23, soprano Montserrat Caballé will also perform at the tennis club Puente Romano as a fundraiser for the NGO The Children for Peace. Back in July will start the program Starlite Festival, which will bring to Marbella a series of ten concerts in addition to the traditional charity event that is hosted by Antonio Banderas.
Never before, Marbella has seen such a number of first class concerts and world famous artists in just one summer.
